In response to advanced customer needs and society globalization, “Create and Deliver New Values”

Pursuing customer needs and innovation

Pursuing customer needs and innovation

Showa Kasei Kogyo, since its founding in 1956, has manufactured valuable products by sincerely listening to the customer’s voice.

We believe that we were able to acquire trust from customers as a compound manufacturer because we succeeded in developing blood bags and compounds for dialysis earlier than our competitors, and we have continued seeking the high quality for products/engineering which is demanded by our customers.

Additionally, we formed an affiliation with the KVC department of Kaneka Chemical Kogyo (currently Kaneka Co., Ltd.) in 1998. Now we have steadily been growing through expanding overseas which is in line with the trend of globalization. Since our founding, we have never changed our style of “always be with the customers” and have been listening to their voices.

Our true innovation is through the creation of new value for our customers.

For the improvement of customer service

A key for an enterprise to survive and grow is whether it can provide “values” that can be selected by the customers. We are looking ahead at changes in the market and rebuilding our “values” from the customers’ viewpoint in which the customers’ needs are diversified. To deliver the exact “values” which are demanded by our customers in a timely manner, we continue improving our customer service by building a support system with all the divisions including service, development, production control, manufacturing and others.

Advancing “GloCalization” with well-managed global procurement

With a worldwide trend of globalizing society, a general, universal process is not enough. We are required to respond to the “value” specific to each country or ethnic group. Showa Kasei Kogyo has been promoting a “glocal” management strategy suitable for the region, which can achieve a structure which responds satisfactorily to customers with global procurement demands.

Eco-friendly manufacturing

One of the big challenges for us today is to develop eco-friendly products. Amid increasing demands for the quality and features of compounds for every resin, we will not only maintain the highest level in all services, including quality, engineering, cost and small-lot production, but will also contribute to achieving an eco-friendly society as an industry-leading company. We also try developing eco-friendly products through building workplaces where people care for each other and thoughtfulness is valued. Through this manufacturing, we will continue contributing in order to realize a prosperous society.

The “Takumi” factory

Evolving the new factory, “Takumi”

Manufacturing supported by people aiming for global quality

We believe that our wish to “respond to customer needs” is a key to the manufacturing that can satisfy customer demands, along with the knowledge, skills and experiences of the employees.
We have been focusing on “nurturing the personnel who can produce items with consideration,” and each of us always aims to ensure global quality by paying attention to improving and maintaining the quality of the products/services.

A paradigm is a way of thinking that can be a dominant model for groups (common sense). You just need to believe it and do not need to think in other ways. Targets are defined according to the paradigm, tasks and processes are analyzed in detail, efficient specialized facilities are built, tasks are divided, and new organizations and rules are established. With further elaboration and optimization, progress accumulates and growth and prosperity continue.
